Resources for Miscarriages
If you have stumbled onto this page, it likely means you have been affected by a pregnancy loss… either it’s happened to you, a family member, a friend… and you’re looking for ways to know you’re not alone. The heartbreaking truth is that you definitely are not alone, as best guesses place miscarriage rates at about 10-15% of all pregnancies (womenshealth.gov). However, knowing those statistics doesn’t always help when you’re trying to make sense of what’s happening physically and emotionally to you or your loved one, and how to best move forward.
Therapy for miscarriage and pregnancy loss is just one of the many supportive ways that you can experience healing in your loss. The good news is that many people are starting to speak out about their losses, knowing that staying silent makes things feel so much more isolating. As a result, there a many books, blogs, websites, podcasts, social media groups, and other creative resources available to you.
Here are a few that I’ve come across that might be helpful to you. Keep looking until you find the support you need.
